Uneven tire wear has been a real problem for our fleet so we needed to do something. BAT RF has worked well in identifying tires that need air added much earlier than possible beforehand. This has really helped us see big cost savings for our fleet.

We knew we had a problem with keeping tires at the right pressure. Everybody does. And we knew it was costing us, especially with fuel prices so high. So we placed BAT RF AirBATs on our vehicles. Now, our fuel economy is better. Our tires are lasting longer. And we’re spending less time on maintenance. BAT RF is saving us money in a lot of ways.

We installed the Stemco BAT RF automatic gate reader system in May of 2007. The system has already proved very effective with identifying low tires in our transportation fleet. Each day we identify low tire conditions and FAX them to our tire service team, they then service the tires or replace them if necessary. The BAT RF system has proven to be a real time saver and cost saver as well.

In July 2007, about 13% of our fleet tires were out of tolerance and by December 2007 the out of tolerance tires are down to 2% of our total tires. This is a great improvement in a short time frame. The WebBAT software interface is very user friendly and very responsive to our reporting needs. This system has greatly improved our ability to manage tire pressures like never before.
